I just picked 2 big heads of broccoli and another bowl full of strawberries and my first raspberry

man cub forked over the vegie patch for me yesterday, so off this weekend to buy some stuff to fillit with. Still have to lace it with blood and bone and sheep poo tho' Looks good empty tho'. Nice and tidy!!

Anyway  - they have well decomposed by now!! and the kids too!! Good fertiliser!!!
Found a good compost heap at my neighbours house - so started using that anyway!

oh I am shamed - that looks so lovely,     and your white walls are white,     my house white walls are an interesting sheen of green     I especially like the photo where you can see a needy in the background but I'm like that 



Driving home yesterday I noticed you can no longer see our house from the road - all you can see are trees 
I'd show you some photos (when I can find the cord that connects the camera to the computer - it's vanished  )  - my white wisteria is in full bloom right now and looks beautiful (or atleast I think so) will need a hard prune back though after it has finished as its almost impossible to walk under it, cool curtain.

I love poppies, they are such pretty flowers and best of all so easy to grow

I have a few seeds left from my collection I was selling, luckily too as I don't think any have self-seeded this year. Will have to create a special place for them for next season

I reckon you were thinking about what the photographers on here would be saying about setting up a shot 
and i could then imagine you rolling around on the grass until you find the best angle

   na chic. Wasn't even thinking about that. They just look so much better close up than from a distance and wanted to get the nicest ones I could of the actual flower without all the other stuff around it. Closest I got to the ground was a squat at one stage, but thats it. Me no do rolling on ground stuff out on front property where all neighbourhood can see

there's some ignorant peeps out there eh. one of my neighbours got all excited when he saw them and wouldn't believe me when I told him they weren't opium 

I've still got seeds left. If they get stolen, then I'll start the poppie garden somewhere else where only me and my girls can see them and the neighbourhood will miss out on the flower show.

One of my landlords (who is a perfectionist) told me I was supposed to plant the seeds in exact positions.
Me... naaaaaaaaaaaaaa I threw a heap in the dirt and did the 'wait and see' thing instead

my strawberries are doing much better now they're getting a chance to grow. Funny that      Only teeny tiny ones so far, but I see a couple of big ones starting to look good

Raven - one of my blue berry plants .. am struggling to remember its name


the shops have two main plants - blue dawn and this one.


and it doesnt look much
but my vege garden as of today



but in it, there are yams, peas, onions, leeks, garlic, broccoli, lettuces, cucumber, corn, tomatoes, cabbage, cauli, beans - runner and yellow dwarf, silver beet, celery, potatoes (obviously) pumpkin and goodness knows what else i may have forgotten to mention.
