i dont see the problem, as long as they are worn with mid calf or longer skirts, or under long pants

Just my opinion,
I think calf length boots...especially cheap and nasties from no1 shoewhatever it is

do absolutely nothing for the wearer, they infact make the bottom leg look larger.

I dont really care what shoes are made of - long as they look good.

I have shoes from no1 (where a very close relly of mine works up in aucks - not in shop but head office) also shoes from hannahs, warehouse even, and wild thing or some s**t. Mostly hannahs though.

I dont care whether they are synthetic or not if they are what im looking for.

Ugh to this thread

Leather shoes can stink as well - if a person wears them most days with no breaks.

If you have many pairs and don't wear a pair a few days in a row they never ever smell.  I know this for a fact - I love shoes haha.

As for knee high boots for a larger leg - it totally depends on what else they may be wearing so they could look fab.

ugh ugh ugh

Many - like guys haha.  Actually I use to know a gal who only had one pair of shoes and OMG her feet.  I use to let her keep her shoes on when she came over.

I am so with you there

You forgot to mention mostly hideously uncomfortable as well

I am not a shoe shopaholic but I am very picky about what I choose to put on my feet.  I have 2 pairs of sandals, one pair of jandals, one pair of shoes, (need to buy another as well sometime, different colour) 2 pair of ankle boots, a pair of really good running shoes, 1 pair of slippers and 2 pairs of gumboots and 1 pair of work boots.  (only the jandals came from the no1 shoe warehouse and while they are comfortable they are kinda hideous

It is worth buying high priced High quality shoes (especially when they are on sale) and looking after them well.  Besides, you even get a 2 year money back guarantee on some (which you can work to your advantage sometimes).  They are usually instantly comfortable, they last and they don't date fashion wise very fast.  When you have quality footwear on, you feel better, walk better and ultimately save money because you are happy with what you have got, you aren't wasting time looking for yet another crappy pair of shoes  You can get on with what is really important - like having that cafe coffee with your mates.  JMHO

i agree, the more expensive ones are far more comfy

but the prob is i cant afford them

i have i pair of $200 ankle boots that mum bought for me for graduation

1 pair of $120 shoes that were half price and winz paid for as they for job interview

3 pairs of $85 flats, all of which were super cheap in wellington special for $15

my sports shoes though are just warehouse ones, and are super comfy

up till this past year i only bought from warehouse or #1 shoe warehouse

These are my most expensive to date...over the 5 hundred mark from scarpa but worth it as they were my wedding shoes.

Gorgeous soft gold kid leather, and covered in hundreds of genuine swarovski crystals.

   thanks Collie

there was some sensibility in buying them, not only are they stunning...the reason the celebs have been snapping them up for red carpet events, is that they are beautifully made and sooooo comfortable that you can stand around in them for hours.

So they were a good choice for a wedding shoe.

I find though, it means even more shoes need buying for the girls

Half my shoes I have never worn but i cant get rid of them coz i love them and i know i will wear them one day with something.

They are lovely but Scarpa - he gets imports all his shoes at around $50 a pair.  He does get the better quality but it kills me when I see his pricing....well mark up.  By the way, I never said that haha.  A friend of mine use to work for him.

And don't let me tell you about the major fashion players in NZ (cost of fabric, where it is made etc).  It is a crime but hey, if you look fab then who the hell cares.
