i like the mrs higgins (or is it mrs fields?) chocolate chew biscuits and would like to make them at home. they seem to have a chocolate chips and cornflakes in them but they're not like afghans. these have a nice chewy texture and are yummy warmed in the microwave!!!

on mrs higgins website they have the ingredients but not the quantities

http://www.mrshiggins.com/flavour.php?f=9
Ingredients: Butter, Caster Sugar, Egg Pulp, Coco Powder, Cornflakes, Flour, Dark Chocolate Buttons, Cocoa Powder, Raising Agent, Vanilla Flavouring

and of course i wouldn't be using egg pulp

Some clever person may be able to work out the quantities ? Maybe you could use some other cookie recipe but adapt it to use those ingredients ? Hmmmm wonder if that would work....

yes i was thinking that too... i found a basic biscuit recipe and was going to give it a go last night but it started getting late and by the time i licked the bowl i'd have been high on sugar at some ungodly hour so abandoned it for the tv...

Do you know they have a can that they goes off every now and then - in the Mrs Higgins cafes?  It smells like freshly baked cookies.

I like them.

I keep walking past one every day at work - smells so nice.  They have a caramel chew, I have one of those now and then.

the chocolate chew is the winner in my books. we don't get fresh ones here but i take them home and warm them in the microwave for 30 secs

one of those plus a glass of milk = my perfect dessert (other than a naked antonio banderas covered in chocolate sauce)

what a tango that would be
