Started digging holes to transplant my bushes, roses and one hyencinth? tree and came across these which has thwarted my plans.

would it not depend on whether they are water-seeking missiles?

roses would be okay I would think - its more the trees which do huge damage as their roots are so strong and push the pipes

mmmm the pipes are right where I need to put something to stop the neighbours mates from jumping and breaking my fence. Might have to think up some other way like a creeper or something. It's half fence and half trellis.

I have put a fusia there (about half a metre away from the pipes) and that's spread nicely across the fence, but it's not high enough

heard the neighbour swear at me while I was doing this.

cant you just get some barbed wire, roll it up in a big giant ball, and balance it on the fence - nail it in place if necessary.

Thatll stop him using oit.

None of the plants that you have mentioned would hurt the pipes at all.

I'm thinking on it. I liked Shatner's idea of greasing the place where they stand to jump over. I've got a picket fence though and if they land on that.... eek eek eek I would NOT want to be them if that happened eek

I'd serve the neighbour a tresspass order that covers him and his mates, and plant something like flowering quince which has inch long thorns [needle sharp] along with something toxic [oleander] so that if they try that s**t again they'll hopefully get punctured and fall off and roll around in the poisonous oleander which will hopefully get in their thorn wounds thus killing them dead...

not that I've put much thought into this...  eek

Have already trespassed one of his mates. Bit off topic...but do you remember the big police hunt for a man with a weapon who had breeched a protection order and the witnesses to all this fleed from court which meant the prick got off the charges? It was on stuff news a couple of weeks ago. Found out the other day that the guy that I trespassed is that pricks son eek
