I doubt it is large... the diamonds are good quality, and it would be thousands if it was a big piece.

I think it's very pretty, but the pics aren't good enough. I'd want to see it in person and try it on to see how it hangs because the back looks quite puffy...

Thanks snowpee,

I have traded with her a few times, and am pretty sure that she would be fine with a 'try on' visit.

Just wanted some opinions before I took it to that level

it's already 000s!!!

it's very pretty, i like it - but not the price. you're paying for the brand, rather than the quality of the materials and who is going to look at the back of it?

have you tried the real life auctions? i used to buy a lot of my jewellery from webb's and i'm sure you could find lots of luffly things there and sometimes get bargains (cept when i'm selling my stuff for mucho dollars)

let us know what you decide

I have never heard of that 'brand' before. I looked it up last night, and quite like his stuff.

Re the quality of the materials...I would want to know the quality of the diamonds. even though small..if they are crappy clarity etc it won't have much 'fire'

The place in Parnell that has his stuff - OMG - then again, I am a jewellery nut.  You should check our their website.

I got two new Kagi necklaces last week, I love her stuff but it is more costume (not fine) so not too expensive.

http://hartfield.co.nz/

Ummm remember I have been collecting since I was a young teen and I keep it all.

So rings are all in a couple of drawers in a tallboy.....most necklaces are hanging on the back of a couple of doors (got wee hooks on the back of the door or inside of the door - depends if it is open hehe).  Four jewellery boxes but they just have earrings or watches in.  I have a problem.

These are the two Kagi ones I got.

http://www.thedeal.co.nz/Product/kahps004/Kagi%20-%20Gold%20Cubist%20Pendant

http://www.thedeal.co.nz/BRANDS/Kagi/kaHPS023/Kagi%20-%20Orpheus%20Pendant.html

With this one, it has butterflies and flowers around the side (you cannot see in the photo)....it is quite large and they are filled in with lots of crystals.

Lucky you to be able to wear such bold pieces...Mr Pants thinks I look ridiculous, even in a string of decent sized beads

I guess I am just use to the big stuff because of the 80's hehe.

I do have times where I cannot do it though and just like fine jewellery.

Brought to you by dab 'b***h'

The only jewelery I have and wear

is my engagement ring, wedding band

a 'russian' tri gold triple ring thingy worn with a another ring.

I've never been into jewelery, find it hard to pick things.  What I do have is simple, and good quality. I would love a decent necklace though

all bought for me by other people.
I have only ever worn one of them and it was like wire with about 7 beads at the frontthat were all for reasons (duno what anymore).

It got a kink in the wire and i stopped wearing it.

I dont realy do jewelery - too pretty and girly

you have to wear jewellery that suits you. some people can't wear chunky stuff no matter how fashionable because of the shape of their fingers/neck. i can't really wear chunky stuff altho i do have one glass necklace that is a bit chunky.

fluff what did you decide?

another thought fluff do you know whether you can wear silver or gold or both? because it would be a shame to buy that if you can't wear silver without it making your skin look blech. i have to buy mainly silver because too much gold close to my face makes me look sallow

after writing about my necklace i realised i should take photos for insurance so off to photograph everything!

Hi Bored,

she's asked if I would like to view, and made an offer of $2000 which is what the buy now was anyway.

I can carry gold or silver. My engagement and wedding band are platinum so silver would match fine.

I'm not 100% about it. So probably money better spent elsewhere....I wouldn't 'kick myself' if someone else bought it.

$1800 offer would have made me more likely to bother going to see it.

you can probably negotiate with her but if you're new to buying that sort of jewellery perhaps you should visit the shops that carry those sorts of items and the estate jewellers and the auctions to see what you really like. it's a very pretty piece but you need to really love it to spend that sort of money!
