not so bad with leggings, but they aren't being promoted with leggings, or even having leggings sold near them.

I think some fashion is just trying to make them too grown up before they're truly ready - they don't know how to handle the kind of attention which may come along with the outfit...

yeah but there even really slutty clothes for kids as young as 4. its bloody aweful. I saw a 5 year old with a top that was just material covering her chest and a tie at the back and a tie round her neck, she looked like a little skank.

My best friend has got daughters the same age as our boys , I love going shopping with them to buy all the girly stuff. I noticed about 8 years ago the slutty clothes started appearing in crappy shops like pumpkin patch with their urban angel brand . My mate and I were often shocked at some of the dresses etc with sexy little spagetti straps and covered in sequins , they looked like miniture womens dresses from pagani .

I can't stand seeing young girls wearing skanky clothes.

The fluffettes all have a gorgeous simple denim pp mini each, which they wear with leggings.

In fact, they wear leggings under nearly all their skirts...even the longer ones. They can't be seen sometimes, but it means that if they are climbing etc it makes damn sure they don't do any knicker flashing.

I don't buy them slogan stuff except for a Trelise Cooper  t.shirt I got Miss 5 awhile back. She's only worn it once because I actually changed my mind about it.

It says ''Future Mrs Jolie-Pitt"

inip had a couple of gorgeous denim minis too but her minis were almost knee length and also worn with tights (in winter) - leggings werent really "in" then.

She certaily wasnt allowed to wear sort skirts on their own. Shes not into it anyway coz she wore a skirt to school once and a boy looked up it when she went on the bars

The teachers at my school did the same, we thought it was funny - and I even had one that pulled my eyelashes once saying they were false.  She had to give me a formal apology.

Yup, it's so crazy.  They insist on wearing their winter kilts to the floor (hides the illegal jammie bottoms), and their summer kilts up to their ears

Wonder how much respect youd get if you told them to their face they looked like slappers???

I used to roll my skirt too....til I got tall enough I didnt have to.

My mum hemmed the f**kin thing just below my knee - it looked f**kin stupid so I would roll it to about 2 inches above my knee

Miss 11 is at that age where she changes 3 odd times a day to match the bloody shoes shes wearing at the time, needless to say, she wonders why she has to do her own washing.... *giggles*

I allow the mini skirts, but yup...OVER jeans or leggings.....

She came home from school one day with her extra short TARTan mini skirt on (she had taken off the jeans) and a wee tank top while wearing her high chunky shoes.
By f**k she got a right royal ear lecture, but of course it falls on deaf ears.....

So now, she doesnt go anywhere without my approval of her clothing before she slips , out the door, I would rather be seen as a stick in the mud in her eyes than some wack job confronting her....

eek

s**t - you wanna see the length of some of the minis in my wardrobe, actually, lack of length would be a bit more accurate.

Admitedly I didnt wear them this summer, I am a little too chunky, but I have worn them every summer previous, and in winter too.

I will be back in them in a few months....possible tui ad
