I've got a trial of Nortons 360 which seems a hell of a lot better than any of their other versions.  It's about to expire. Does anyone know if it's worth spending $170 for a 2 year sub or are the free antivirus just as good?

Thanks.

Cheers Byte. Appreciate that.    This version doesn't seem to slow the puter down but then again, it's basically a new one and doesn't have a heap of crap on it....yet.

Nortons is good, but I much prefer to ride my Triumph.

Yea having a new pc helps a tad. And is it the full version in the trial or just a part version because they might make a difference on how much it hogs....

I will stress though, I havent used that version of nortons so dont really know - its possible they have improved what, in my opion, was a flawed app.

have had nortons 360 at home and at work. now got  Trend Micro at home and find no real difference at all between the 2. Except for when scanning, trend seems to slow things down more so than nortons.

Trend's out then. It's a full version of Nortons and must say for them it is pretty good. Probably only becuase this computer doesn't have a lot of photos and music on it yet.
