We are down the end of a long driveway which we share with the house at the back, we are off to the side and there are a couple of homes in front but they have their own driveway.

Anyway, there is a small pot hole and I want to fix it.   The gals in the back house will help and Mr and I which is fab....I have found the stuff we need called Bitumend Cold Mix.

Has anyone used this before and if so, do you have any wonderful tips?

It's bombproof. We use it regularly at work, takes no special skills to apply and is good to drive on as soon as it's in the hole.

here's our supplier.

about 30 bucks a sack delivered, if you get onto it before the hole gets too big, one bag will do a basic hole and any left over will store indefinitely.

Just one tip, don't try and skimp by filling the hole with dirt or stones first, it will settle and leave a dip, scrape out any loose material and keep pouring the new seal in and tamping it down until the patch is level.

Thanks

I will get two bags just in case.  It is very cheap.

I was quoted $700 to do it.  They said they needed to cut a big section out of the driveway basically going right across and then they would fill it etc.  I thought it was too much for just a small hole.  The gals in the back can't afford that so I thought we could all do this.  They are good at the DIY thing and I am good at buying so a win win situation.

rolls royce solution ...you don't have motorway traffic through your driveway, do you?
