  I've noticed my free range (as in only closed up at night) chooks' eggs appear to have very pale yolks     They get a very varied diet and are out most of the day during daylight hours with access to heaps of grass etc.  Any suggestions as to what else I could feed to bring up the colour a bit?  Or is it just the winter cycle.  These girls have not stopped laying at all.  Clever chookies

sorry - I couldnt remember the name of the additive they use to colour up the yolks




Out of my 5 new pullets I got yesterday, 2 laid eggs for me
