If you were in NP I could tell you where to go for the cheapest material but otherwise like Pinky says - Spotlight- they're otherwise your best bet.

if you just need cotton or polycotton, then try op shops, like the sallies. sometimes you score what you need

lol pass...

yeah looked on tm but they only seem to have pre sewn ones.i want the material to sew my own so i can make them to fit and with tyes and pockets.

Hang out around Spotlight - they often do $1 to $5 ends with their fabric.  My mum always grabs them but you have to keep flicking in as not always there.
