From a very esteemed kuia from Te Hiku...
In our numbers we came

In our numbers we remained

To stand by and support

Our Rangatira Hone Pani Tamati Waka Nene Harawira

Our Maori representative within Parliament for Tai Tokerau

It was we as a many and the people of Te Hiku O Te Ika

Whom asked Hone to stand as our Tai Tokerau representative within the Maori Party

He humbly accepted

This acceptance was unianimously recieved by our people in Kaitaia

His acceptance was recieved with numerous tributes of encouragement and a pledge.

This pledge was that we as a people te iwi maori will always stand by his side supporting the maori party

From here, our people in large numbers pledged their allegiance to the political party The Maori Party.

With their membership and political support in large numbers.

This allegiance, a necessity to endorse our chosen person to represent and carry our vision as Maori in Parliament .

In large numbers Hone Harawira was voted as the elected Maori Party Parliamentary Candidate for Tai Tokerau.

and

In large numbers Hone was voted as the elected Parliamentary Member for the Tai Tokerau Maori Electorate in 2005 and 2008.

I have as that of many of our people been a firm firm firm supporter of the Maori Party.

Time and energy to an extreme is nothing in comparison to ones true belief in a kaupapa.

Kaupapa Rangimarie

A value and belief of our Matua tupuna as to the values of Matua Whangai.

When ever one of your whanau gets into trouble or is having difficulty.

We as a whanau, as a hapu, as an iwi must not turn our backs on them and cast them aside. Even if they test the boundaries around themselves and others.

They are whanau.

This is important to whanaungatanga and tikanga maori.

I am saddened that this very important principle is being overlooked.

Kia kaha Hone

Kia kaha Tai Tokerau

In your korero that you will not turn your back on the Maori Party.

From another esteemed kuia from the north...
Tena Koutou katoa

I am really disheartened with the treatment being handed down to Hone Harawira
our elected Member of Parliament for Tai Tokerau.
Hone has worked really hard for the Te Paati Maori.
In 2004, we were encouraged by Hone to tautoko Tariana and the Maori Party in Te Tai Hauauru By Elections.
We heard his call of tautoko and two busloads of Kaumatua me nga kui kuia from Te Hiku O Te Ika travelled to Wanganui on Thursday 8th July 2004.
We as Kaumatua me nga kui kuia arrived in Wanganui and through door knocking we encouraged the people in that area to get out and vote.
My gratitude goes to the people of Wanganui for their manaakitanga during our time there.
This was my first visit to Ratana Pa and I was brought up in the Hahi Ratana faith.
What a awesome trip, the manaakitanga, whanaungatanga was truly Maori.
I will never forget it.
I reflect in respect to the memory of our Kaumatua me nga kuia who made this trip and have since passed away.
It is now sad that after all we have gone through together that awangawanga has surfaced
We ask that peace and manaakitanga uplift us all, over this awangawanga.
In wisdom our unity as one, kotahitanga will be strengthened.
E hara taku toa i te toa taki tahi
engari he toa taki tini
My strength is not that of the individual , but that of the multitudes.

E te Rangatira Hone
Kia Kaha
Kia Maia
Kia Manawanui

This one is by far my favourite lol...

Walk About: Talk About
For calling John Howard a "racist Bastard"
Our Hone's name was totally plastered
Across the headlines and on T.V
Now: for a trip to Ngati Wiwi?

For an honest email to Buddy Mikaere
Chided for this "wiwi" tipi haere
So Hone went walk about and is unrepentant
Crucified for not being "mainstream" dependant

So a Brother wants time with his wife
Is this cause for an invasion of his private life?
My choice for leadership from the grassroots scene?
The Brother Hone and the Sister Angeline!

Hone is about whanau, not money or greed
Is Te Paati Maori's conscience for the PEOPLE'S needs
What was the point Buddy? of going after Hilda?
To be a good brownie as Whiteys filter?

You asked for your hiding: gave Hone cheek
To gain Whiteys approval from a media leak
The Tribunal coffers are no longer yours
To prop yourself up with Whiteys rewards
A media magnet: from Whiteys prying
Hone's the best advertisement: without even trying!

Does the Paati need Hone more than he needs them?
He's the uncut pounamu, the surprising gem
Cloistered protocols of a bygone age
Attempt to suppress Tangatawhenua rage
Never compromised his people for White votes
Or sunk any Rangatahi driven boats

No other member standing has been so involved in the cause
And been so unapologetic, shown the world his balls
Hone doesn't give a f**k about what you think
And is the least in need of seeing a shrink

His mana is not bound by Whitey's rules
Nor does he perform for any Crown Jewels
He knows his s**t, and where he's at
Not about to be molested by fiddling Nats
The spin-doctors told Key what to say
To maintain status quo and mai`nstream sway
So what if he's a "shock jock" as Key condemns?
He'll not hide behind Tariana's hems!

Whakapohane to Whitey: Kiss my black arse
Not hang around for scraps: ever so sparse
He'll do what he has to and keep it real
And not give a rat's arse about how you "FEEL"
His people put him there and will decide if he stays

Hone is right, our tupuna have paid
The price was rape and theft of land
He has walked his whenua and made a stand
Facing disciplinary action for recent conduct
Do what you do Hone - tell them to get f**ked!

Puritanical bulls**t and misconstrued
When will they take responsibility for the Treaty they screwed?
This nation doesn't like a "Cheeky Darky" acting right
They would rather we were submissive and painted White

Goff's bleating jumped on the wagon of disdain
To ride Hone's wave for Labour's gain
His Leader could not keep her emotions in check
Rather than face the masses, she hooked up with Shrek

Behind every great man is a wahine true
He mihi aroha kia koe Hilda, this is for you too
While Hone's supporters gather to rally
The Party should take heed and check their tally

From Te Hiku the Foreshore March began
Te Paati now critical of this leading man
Hone owns that seat, his kaupapa keeps him there
To come down on Hone is to realise their worst fears
Will they punish Hone and give him the strap?
Open up for Shane Jones a much needed gap?
Or worse still turn their back on the people
Paint themselves White: to hold up the steeple

If you take the brother down for eating frogs legs
You're Party will be left with compromised dregs
Hone is the passion and the fire
The one who keeps Rangatahi Maori inspired
Hails from the birthplace of this nations future

It's in his nature to do and "Papatuanuku nurture"
"Honour the Treaty" his catch cry
These are the real issues for which Hone would die

Kia kaha e te hoa, kia maia e te tuahine
Ka whawhai tonu tatou ....For Sure!

FACEBOOK:

Angeline has a facebook which is a useful tool and I too am logged on this social and very popular with many Maori.
My personal comments are being posted there as part of the 'live fed' discussions that have been going out and around the motu.
I have trolled through the HONE HARAWIRA SHOULD BE SACKED!!! site and it is dribbling with hatred.
I don't think we should be distracted by this and similar comments.

TV3: This morning on TV3 Sunrise Claudette Hauiti was asked to comment and I found her comments helpful as with Oliver Driver agreeing that 'the raping and pillaging' happened.

SHOT THE MASSAGER OR NOT?: Though for many Hone's wording of this event are being judged for what is obviously insulting I think Buddy Mikaire should have been asked to explain himself as to why 'he too has put the Maori Party' under severe pressure. It was not Hone that leaked email to the media.  It was Buddy Mikaire now described as a disgruntled member of this Party.

THE DISTRACTIONS: For those of Buddy's persuasion I would like to say that we of Maniapoto iwi are at present involved with the Crown and dealing with 'all the bullsh*t' that Hone robustly wrote of in his mail, An unfortunate choice and use of words but as we are learning 'emailing' is an insecure platform of communication.

RANGIAOWHIA:

In the area of Waikato Hauraki district and too Tariana area of Maniapoto sits the remaining stricken battle site of Rangiaowhia where in 1864 this was a peaceful settlement with a flour mill, wheat fields and peach trees.  Here on the 21st February 1864 General Cameron and 1200 troops marched on our people raping and pillaging our lands, the lands of Ngati Apakura ki Waikato raua ki Maniapoto.

This is not the past!  This is not an historical event!  It is for myself a descendant of Ngati Apakura a deep heart felt issue and for one can relate to the sentiments expressed by Hone.

I would like to think we can work to resolve this matter and do so with the dignity and patiences required it this a test of courage for us all as Maori Party members and as THE MAORI PARTY.

On behalf of me and my whanau & extended whanau i would like to express my horror at the treatment being given to our Hone. Those racist fools dont know him from a bar of soap! Kia kaha Hone!

Also this bloody Buddy Mikaere, he has a lot to answer for! How dare he dictate to The Maori Party & to Tai Tokerau. He is an absolute disgrace.

For every post you cut paste, there's a hundred that condemn the useless f**ker. He's a traitor to his race, they'd do well to run him into the sea.

He was employed to work for the Maori Party's interests first and foremost - or he should always have been independent

Hone is doing more to damage the credibility of Maori politicians that ANY white supremacist could ever dream possible.

Yeah and the Maori Party has clearly stated that the Party is at the mercy of the people, for the people. Each MP to their own Rohe.

Grumpy - when are you gonna get it? WE DONT CARE WHAT YOU PEOPLE THINK, WE ONLY CARE ABOUT OURSELVES. Geez surely its not that hard to fathom.

Well then stop assuming that we give a s**t what anyone else thinks...we're all for ourselves, thats the trait of our tribes. If we did give a s**t then TTT would have forced Hones resignation, but we rallied to him and the electorate committee on our behalf refused to accept TMPs offer for Hone to step down, instead they promptly declared when his return to Parliament would be lol  Man my people are funny.

You really don't get it......

In or out of parliament, Hone is irrelevant. A small whiny dot, only useful for filling  the pages of a slow news day. He's had his 15 minutes of infamy, now watch him disappear into obscurity like every other half-assed s**thead activist before him.

You stupid child.

Popping up occasionally in the tabloid press is not infamy. Outside of his family, nobody gave a s**t about him until last week. He'll be back in the obscurity that he has earnt before the month is out, and the Maori Party will continue to represent the level-headed majority of the ir race, and a good number of non-Maori supporters, long after Hone has finished his little tantrum and crawled back under his blanket of bigotry.
