One of the BEST things is that you get a 250gig HDD for the same price you used to only get a 120 one for, and wi-fi is built in, as opposed to having to spend UP to $200 for the equipment

sucker!

my boy figured out that you could buy a ps3 to play the blue-ray disks on, instead of a blue-ray machine, and it would be cheaper and more versatile

Then I will have a seperate Blu Ray player IF that happens. I'm a bit of a purist. I tend to use gaming machines only for gaming, and DVD players (etc) for DVDs. I don't like getting all my bells in whistles in one machine so that - should it break down - I'm screwed for ALL entertainment

Yes it does - it's why I want to have an espresso pot, my two coffee presses, a filter machine (with a time) and also get a turkish coffee pot eek

Also, I often want to game AND watch movies at the same time so I need the two to be seperate

I'm hoping to justify buying this new 360 the following ways:

1. I was mature for a few weeks at least

2. Seeing the new model made me pull finger re: a writing job I had sitting about, and made me get started on it

3. I can try being mature again in a few years ... this was quite the unnerving foray into new territory

4. I will promise myself that if I get it, I will devote a full day to book work each week

Well, here's wot I planned ... I made a lot of the work stuff I can do at the library (just near St Lukes), so I can walk there and do writing/sketching. Then when I have to do finished art on the puter, I will only do gaming when I am taking a break, and now that I have a place with more than one room, I can work away from the TV which makes it easierier

yes. we want to see 2,500 words, double line spaced, on why you think gaming machines are used to the detriment of society, specifically focussing on people aged 70 and over, and how it affects their normal functions

I'll say it here, only because it seems the last place I said it was Rant Room and it's disappeared (with me assuming you didn't see it before it went), but after your second cheap shot at my brain tumor surgery, I told you I won't be talking *to* you again on this MB. And I'm only doing so now to get the point across where it won't disappear. Bye
