New place has outdoor BBQ. BBQ
Rough, cream coloured brick, at least half of it covered in mould, quite dense in places.
Any suggestions, home remedies, less toxic solutions on what to clean it with before I look at hardware stores?

And the cooking grill and plate are REALLY rusty. Not to the point where it's rusted through though , so cleaning, treating suggestions for that as well?

There is a cover for the BBQ but it wasn't on properly and hasn't been used in ages, hence the rust.

A decent waterblaster will remove both the surface rust and the mould without adding any chemicals.   Once clean of surface rust, the bbq plate should be seasoned like a cast iron frypan.
