On the wireless...

David Bain is having problems finding a girlfriend apparently.

Lets see...

(and no matter that he's been found innocent) there's that little thing about being accused of murdering his family.

Hmmmm....

Maybe the only ladies looking for love from him might want their family gone  eek   I know, quite a horrid way of looking at it but I can't help it.

If for example, my sister starting dating him ..... I would think yikes, I am a gonna.

He's got no chance of living a 'normal' life while living in NZ. The country is too small for him to disappear and start again.

Even those who believe he is innocent would still have that nagging doubt  in the back of their minds if he started dating one of their family members.

Ino, eh?? 'Benefit of the doubt' works with someone claiming they didn't use the last bit of toilet paper on the roll and not replace it. You's sleep soundly with them in the house because, worst case scenario, they're lying and you have to replace the toilet paper again. But someone who MIGHT have whacked their entire family? Yah .. Dave you MAY be innocent, and I'll have a beer with you at the pub, but no F*CKING way am I having you round for a sleepover eek

Funny thing is, criminal profilers (like John Douglas, who almost invented the thing) said that you probably can't even give Bain a lie detector now, because someone who has done such an awful thing and then spent so much time externally and internally denying it, can after this much time produce a false negative, such is the accumulative force of the human mind, even in relation to truth

Hmmmm....

Here's the thing....he hasn't been found innocent.

The reason he was released is that it was decided that the case was not proved beyond reasonable doubt.

I believe that he did it. In their haste to torch the family home, evidence that may have proved useful at a later date was lost.

Restrictions in everyday life and speech you'd have if you dated David Bain:

1. You'd never be able to say, 'Well ... it's time we shot through ... '

2. Looking for something you've lost can never be referred to as 'rifling through the house'.

3. The drive to Target would probably be uncomfortably silent.

4. Sitting around and doing a few shots would not be an advisable Friday night activity.

My opinion is, that the old man killed the family, David came home, saw what had happened and topped the old man off.

Based on my opinion of course. Which is valid enough.

To be fair to Mabs, the only scenario that seems likely to me APART from David killed them all, was some weird mix of the father having been involved in the killing, and then David killing the father. It sounds a bit screwy, but some of the evidence could support that too
