is pretty good, it's probably the best FREE image editor I've ever used

http://www.paint.net/

I normally use Photoshop, but I have it on another computer which heats my office up, so I can't be assed using it all the time,  I've been using Paint.net the last 2 days as an alternative, and it's doing everything I need for commercial web development work.

Another editor people say they use is The Gimp, but The Gimp has ass about face workflow, some people say "Oh you get used to having to do 20 things and spending 10 minutes just cropping an image", I'd rather spend 10 seconds with Paint.net

try it
