Garden centre/cafe/gift shop.
Nice indoor-outdoor flow.
Busy and noisy at lunchtime.
Good service.
FAR too much Parmesan cheese on my meal though.
Can't stand the stuff.
Even others around the table could smell it.
Couldn't eat it.
The cheese wasn't mentioned on the menu.

Opted for a piece of carrot, pineapple & walnut cake instead.
It crumbled at the first touch, the icing was not cream cheese but just sickly sweet icing sugar,
and the yoghurt was warm cause it had been served in a dish straight from the dishwasher.

Wouldn't go back there in a hurry.

You're referring to the suburb?

I wouldn't know what the suburb is like and wouldn't make such a blanket judgement on it based on one poor meal experience at one cafe that just happens to be in that area.

Used to live there, it's lovely actually.  Lived just down the road from that cafe and never went, but it's a beautiful wee area - most of it, anyway.

A bit glitzy but like a lot of those places, if you look long enough, you usually find something special.
Saw some very nice NZ made jewellery. (NOT greenstone or paua for a change)
Was strong though and told myself
