Pop your favourite Christmas treats/meals here - I need help haha.

My quiet family Christmas has turned into a large family lunch which is fab.  Means I get to stay in one place for the day.  Both families are now joining together at my place.  Will be around 25 to 30 people.   yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh

I have to give everyone an idea of what I would like them to bring along for the day - food/drinks.

Do you know what each of the familys Fav Christmas dish is?  If yes ask that family to
bring theirs.

We don't do Christmas but when we have large gatherings and its a shared meal that is
what we do.

Yes that's a good idea, we all do our favorite dishes and what we know everyone likes a salad and main or main and dessert and just work out who is on salads - entres, who is on desserts.

seafood salad, good as entree instead of the good old prawn cocktail
or on a buffet

1 1/2 cups of cooked rice.

as the rice cools fold in a cup of good mayonaise
when cold add some small shrimps or chopped prawns
diced cucumber
salmon, tinned ok if no fresh
crab meat, same again a decent tinned ok if no fresh
some peas
and some whole kernal corn

mix through, serve chilled

I don't care what we eat as long as Mum makes meringues - hers are the best I've ever tasted and despite 27 different attempts (literally, I've kept note) they've never worked the same.  I think it's a combo of her awesome old mixer and awesome old oven.  And the awesome old mum
Don't tell her I said that  eek

I do those as well - one of my best and I would agree........I use the old hand mixer (years and years and years old), I know when they are ready when it is so hot it is about to burn my hand haha.

Annabel White wanted my recipe and when she asked how long to beat and I told her the bit above - she cracked up.
