...of supervised practice to get a Restricted Driving License as from Feb 1st.


Boy are there going to be sum kids who buck    at that!! 


Similar to the Oz process.


Fingers crossed that whatever age driver is doing the 120hrs, they might pick up a few skills like... like before you open your car door, check to see if there's any motor/cyclists in the bloody way first eek

Good...thats good. Not enough though.

Is that how they do it in Oz?

Here they go on their P plates for 3 years....L plates for however long, then red p's for 2 years and then green p's for one year...then full. Thats what I thought anyway

answered 25 questions on paper and 5 oral
went for a drive around the block



and paid $25.00
(which incidently was quite a lot those days)

full licence

and they are so anal about not allowing passengers on your restricted.

A friend of mine was in hospital, her two children at secondary school.

They live in a country area with no public transport or school buses.

They asked for an exemption so the older boy who had his restricted was able to take his sister to and from school.

The boy had never been in any trouble at school so there was no danger of him flouting an exemption if granted.

They were denied it so the father had to start work late, take time off in the afternoon and finish late adding more stress for the family.

Same here and so far, so good     Got license at 18 and am now older than that ...
