1 cup plain four
1 cup caster sugar
1 cup  desiccated coconut
2 cups rolled oats
125 grams butter
2 tbsp golden syrup
2 tbsp boiling water
1 tsp baking soda

180c oven two lined baking trays

Flour, sugar, coconut and oats in a bowl, stir to combine. Make a well in the centre.

Melt butter and golden syrup. Dissolve baking soda in boiling water, add melted ingredients and dissolved baking soda to dry mix and combine.

Roll spoonfuls into balls and press onto prepared baking trays allow space for biscuits to spread.

bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.

Makes about 30 .

Made the first batch - don't make em too big, they spread.

I did change the recipe a little, used raw sugar instead of caster and added a few sultanas.

Mine didnt I tried a second batch added more butter and they still didnt..

but that might have been the chocolate chips and raisins
