The prices are really cheap. Has anyone here used them?

I see from comments on forums they have a lot of downtime but I wasn't planning to use them for hosting only for domain name registration.
Are they any good? $5/domain name adds up...

FYI I tried registering some names via crazy and it turns out it's not instant. They charge you but then take 48 hours to confirm the registration. That would be okay except... one of the domains got rejected because someone else applied for it between the time I applied and the registration. I got a refund (a week later) but it was annoying.

I have no idea why they do it that way. Any other domain company I have dealt with does it instantly.

They probably do them manually, there was another hosting company I know that did that which I didn't discover until I wanted the UDAI to transfer it, and then had to email them to generate it for me and email it to me.  Does the whois for the domain you registered have them as the registrar or somebody else?

Ah good question. I transferred the domains to webdrive so the records have changed. From memory it was Aust Domains (http://www.austdomains.com.au/)

I am thinking of purchasing more domains through Crazy and transferring them because the savings are so huge. It's $15 and that appears to include GST as they didn't charge me anything on top of it. That brings it down to $13 excluding GST. I can't even get that deal with 1,000 domains at traditional hosts (I don't have quite that many domains LOL).

Even though I missed out on one domain I saved a huge amount of money so it was probably worth it.

The UDAI are all in the domain panel although you have to go into each account manually to access it.

You can't do any bulk management of domains, they all have to be done individually, but as I had more than 50 with them I emailed them the list and they changed the name server settings en masse so it wasn't too bad.

I checked with Crazy Domains and they say they don't charge GST as they are an international company. I'm sure the IRD would dispute that! So the price is $15 and no GST
