what kind of kit have these BBC guys got that lets them broadcast live, on the move, around Bejieng, without the
big satellite truck we usually associate with international outside broadcasts??!??

Could have been wireless broadband, you can get that s**t everywhere with high enough quality for hidef tv, do they even use real satellite technology anymore?

it had to be wireless something or other, but they are in china so i wouldn't think
the great firewall of china would let them freely stream live video to london.
they still use satellite for a lot of OB stuff. all the overseas news teams that were here
in the earthquake aftermath had portable sat uplinks. nothing like the big uplink vans
you see in america though.
