We're thinking of buying a laptop for various reasons.  Anyone have any recommendations?  Home office use, internet, accounts, etc etc type of use.  Don't understand much of the lingo involved but have looked at a Toshiba 15.6" 8G quad core(?) etc etc.  Not familiar with brands at all and realise that it is about what you feel happy with and comfortable using plus having requirements met.

So any advice / recommendations etc gratefully received

Personally I'd always go for one with an Intel i3, i5 or i7, I had a PC with a high spec quad core AMD and it's honestly pretty s**t compared to even the basic Intel i3, brands are all pretty equal these days, last one I bought was an HP i5 and I'm pretty happy with how that performs and they're pretty cheap these days, and go for one on sale
