If you want to change the visibility of you email address, do the following:

1) Click 'Profile' button at the top of the page
2) In the 'Modify Profile' section, click 'Account related settings'
3) Tick the box beside 'Hide email address from public?' - If it is ticked, it is hidden even though you can still see it yourself
4) Enter your password in the 'Current Password' section
5) Click 'Change Profile'

If you look at your own profile, your email is in Itallic when it is hidden from everybody else, but you can still see it.

Your email address is hidden by default when you join, so if you haven't changed it, it will still be hidden
