Spotted Lomu's tweet yesterday and people even warned him to remove it, all he did was remove their tweets

Quote
All Black legend Jonah Lomu and current All Black Israel Dagg could find themselves in trouble with the Electoral Commission over the coming days.

Lomu and Dagg both broke the law by plugging National on their Twitter accounts today. Publishing anything that could potentially influence another voter is strictly prohibited on election day until voting is closed.

The ban extends to social media, and while encouraging others to vote is fine, no specific party can be mentioned. Individuals can be fined up to $20,000 for breaching the rule.

Lomu, with nearly 48,000 followers, tweeted National Party leader John Key: "All the best for Tonight. Get in there everyone your last chance to vote and grow NZ. Go 'National'."

Dagg, with more than 83,000 followers, voted for the first time today and sent this message out: "Just voted for @johnkeypm and the National party all the best for tonight #blueallday #National."

Lomu's tweet is still there to be seen, but Dagg has taken his down and replaced it with an apoogy saying he "doesn't read the fine print".
