Foreign media unimpressed by All Blacks' "stuttering" performance against Namibia, saying the Rugby World Cup defending champion has much work to do.

"There were moments that will concern Steve Hansen, the All Blacks head coach," wrote Daniel Schofield in The Telegraph in his summary of New Zealand's 58-14 win at London's Olympic Stadium.

"As it was in their opening win against Argentina, their handling was not as sharp as you would expect and Namibia frequently caused them problems at the breakdown. Even for a team showing 12 changes from that victory against Argentina, 16 turnovers and 7 penalties are far from flattering figures against a nation comprising engineers, farmers, dentists and the odd professional."

"This was the All Blacks purring rather than roaring. Like a cat half-heartedly playing with a mouse, they toyed with Namibia, intermittently inflicting a bit of punishment but not completely snuffing the life out of their plaything.

"Indeed, this mouse bit back. In a World Cup where the underdogs have been attacking anything that moves like a pack of rapid hyenas, there was another moment for the minnows in the 52nd minute when Johan Deysel, the centre, skittled two All Blacks as he barrelled his way over the tryline. As moral victories go, it was as big as they come for a nation with a playing base of 1,000 against the world champions."

I see a lot of arrogance in this article and it's not coming from the Allblacks.

Why are the Allblacks even playing against Namibia when they're considered to be a far stronger side, I don't get it.

Also Allblacks are better to play strategically at this point with other teams watching them carefully and trying to figure them out - if they laid all their cards on the table then they're an open book in the finals eh.

   I liked this line

Richie's getting crucified by the armchair critics for his indiscretion against Argentina as well.

I know it's a bit unsportsmanlike, but it would be funny if Samoa beat the Springboks.
