yeah I know it sounds ridiculous but can we accept anything less for $20 billion taken from failing health, education,...in fact all public funded services.

I didn't bother taking much notice of the story at the time because I thought you'd post it here later that day but Chris Trotter did an opinion piece on how many houses that much money would buy

It's a white paper, a bunch of dreams, there are no specifics, no targets no commitments.
If we had governments that gave a damn about defense and a creditable defense force we would
have been spending real amounts over the last 20 years. Don't expect any spending anytime soon.

Why bother spending money on defence when the government is letting New Zealand be bought by others anyway.
Doesn't take bloodshed to take over a country these days. Stealth is far smarter
