MELLOW PUFF XMAS TREAT

Buy a packet or two of mellow puffs

Make a white icing (snow) and spoon onto puffs

Buy a packet of spear mint leaves

Place a leaf or two on each puff

Place in fridge to set

Great treat to do with the kids, nice and easy, loads of fun and can't go wrong!

Last year's effort from the kids...

They had a ball doing this on Xmas Eve! It's going to be my family Xmas Eve tradition now.

not really    but you get the idea anyways. and it was a great time for the kids who felt like they were contributing to the whole Xmas thing too.

and guess what their favourite food was for that entire day!

Mallow puffs sound soooo much easier...   oh and my 'snow' was melted white choc....

here a Xmas recipe, that comes out only at Xmas time...
PS I like the really easy recipes....

Chocolate Mousse

1 king size bar of caramello chocolate
1 pottle of apricot yoghurt (you know the normal hand held size)
1 300ml bottle of cream

break of 2 lines of choc and cut into small pieces and set aside (note - do not eat before using!)
whip up cream
melt the rest of the choc til it is runny
when cream is whipped blend in melted choc, yoghurt and chopped up choc pieces

tip into nice looking bowl and freeze overnight.

bring out 1 hour before eating..

enjoy!!!

I like the bit about having yoghurt in it... having a healthy item like yoghurt in it cancells out the choc - in my books!!!!!!

Saw this one on the goodmorning show and am going from memory so I hope i get it right.

special sausage rolls

Puff pastry sheets, egg, milk, mustard, cooked sausages, streaky bacon and poppy seeds.

cut pastry sheets into quarters, brush with egg wash (milk and egg beaten), place sausage wrapped in bacon onto pastry, wrap, brush with egg wash again and a sprinkling off seeds.  cook at a hot temp untill golden....
