Okies here's my idea    She wanted dora but that's not gonna happen. and she wanted strawberry cake sooooooooooooooo... thought about this as the base (round) with chocolate icing.

CHOCOLATE CAKE

1 cup Flour
2 tblsp Cocoa
75 gms Melted Butter
1 cup Caster Sugar
3 tblsp milk
3 eggs
2 tsp Baking Powder

Put all ingredients except Baking Powder into a bowl, beat for 3 mins then add Baking Powder and mix.

Bake @ 190 C for approx 40 mins.

then... making suga's strawberry muffins in mini form? (is that poss)

Strawberry and Choc Chip Muffins

1 egg
1/4 cup oil
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup milk
2 cups flour
4 tsps baking powder
strawberries, 1 cup fresh, or 1 tin, chopped
1 cup Choc Chips
icing sugar to dust

put egg, oil, sugar and milk in bowl, beat.  add dry ingredients and mix well.  stir in strawberries and choc chips gently

bake at 200c for 15mins

dust with icing sugar just before serving

are best hot out of the oven, but still really good cold

And placing these mini strawberry/choc.chip muffins around the bottom of the chocolate cake. Then I've got some long strips of marshmellow which I'll wind round the top of the cake. If you can think of something better. YELL!

Sounds like a plan Stan

Don't see why you can't do Suga's muffins in mini form.

Could you even perhaps add some Strawberries into the main cake?

eek  well that's the cake and the muffins done. I've decided to keep the muffins seperate and I'm gonna go out and buy a bag of lollies to decorate instead. Much easier and prettier.

The cake went down a treat! Thanks so much for the idea of putting strawberries in it. I also added choc. chips to it as well. It was beautiful. Nice and rich yummmmmmmm.

It's sooooooooo not a professional job, but little scoobs and her friends loved it!

Got a little bit messy where the marshmellow didn't quite join

I think it looks great Scoobs ....

It doesn't matter if it is not professional .... all the matters is that the kids love it

I lovee those marshmellows. That cake looks much better than the one I made for my 5 y/o - it was a disaster. We ended up ordering a spongecake beforehand just to be on the safe side and lucky we did too lol..

A cool idea is to make cupcakes and ice them different colours etc - sprinkles and bits and bobs for decorations and then pop into an ice cream cone.  The little people love it and the adults sit back thinking, why are those ice creams not melting...what is her secret....how on earth does this super mum do it....

My sis had to make miss eights cake the other day.....baked two large circle cakes and then chopped out the middle of each one and stuck together - easy number eight.

Oh cool cyl! Thanks for the idea! Miss 7 is having her 8th b/day next month. Soooooo gonna remember this one! Love the ice cream cone idea too

Silly thing is though T a s h a, I was brought up baking. But after leaving home and moving into town where everything was easily bought I lost the art. Still trying to get back to the level I used to have as a kid    And thankyou. It was a huge success. I believe the lollies did it for the kids. But the combination of the chocolate, chocolate chip and strawberries did it for the adults. It was scrummy and will do it for Miss 7's 8th b/day next month too.
