i've left it too late to get my k walker
pants taken up before i leave

soooo if i match the crutch of them
to the crutch of a pair that are the right length
then cut and hem 'em
it should work ah?

Well did you do it yet??? Cos I was wondering with them being flared and all if cutting the bottom off has upset the shape of them at all?  eek

Bascially it does but remember to allow for the hem part - so cut a bit longer so you can flick upwards but inside to do a wee hem.

Try to find a style of pants that are a near match and you should be fine but remember to allow for a hem.

Best thing to do Cat is - put them on and get someone to pin them up to the right length.  You just need to do one leg but they flick the hem under and hold it there with some pins.  You can then look at the length in the mirror.

Wear the shoe that you would wear with them re heel hight as well.  Helps get the right length for you.

Then you have an idea of where to cut and you can cut the other leg the same.  Smiley

Can you tell my mum did this alot hehe.

I agree with cyl

don't do the matching crotches thing

put them on, with the shoes / boots you will wear most with them.

Have a friend, of Mr Cat then pin up the hem. (Cut of the excess...but leave a decent hem then pin)

Just for now, run a few hand stitches around where they have been pinned to. And Press. (don't forget to remove the pins  )

Voila, they will be perfect for the weekend...and get them finished professionally when ya get back
