I so want to bid on this but I am not 100% sure.  Remember I am a jewellery freak, I never wear the same piece two days in a row and I colour match with what I am wearing (very sad).

I have a necklace which looks like it would suit perfectly.

No doubt wear it with black or just the simple jeans and black top.  With rings that big I would not wear any other rings.

That trader has some beautiful and very different stuff at times - very good qualtiy as well.

I am just not 100% sure.

If you already have a lot of jewellery - rings....and you are not 100% sure on such a 'big' piece

I would leave it and keep looking.

i used to collect a lot of antique jewellery and that doesn't look real to me. it looks like glass, not stone. personally i wouldn't buy it because i don't believe the description but if you like it and you are certain you would wear it then you could buy it

i think it looks like an old crone's ring or maybe a gypsy. my vote is no

I watched the auction but I would never have paid more than what it went up too.....I like it but I don't think it is worth anything more than $40 to $50.

So alas, on the hunt for something more grab worthy.  Smiley

If a person loves what they are wearing and it is large - why do you think tryhard?

Its just one of those "look at me" things - like a ferrarri and a middle aged fat guy.

Thats just my opinion though - obviously. I personally think that small simple jewellery is classy and provides much more of a statement than large jewellery.

To use that way of thinking one could say anyone wearing a bright colour (look at me), hair dyed or styled in a not so normal way (look at me), piercing in all kinds of places (look at me) and I can go on....but you get what I mean.  So we are all try hards.  hehe

I could understand the big rock (diamond worth thousands) but a cheap costume ring compared to a flashy car, I just don't get the thinking on that, sorry.

you dont have to.

This thread is called "ask us" was just saying what I thought.

Everyone has different opinions. Mr bytey thinks my piercings are try hard - thats fine - I dont and what i think of them is the most important. Same as what you think of a ring is all that matters.

At the end of the day - if you like something buy it.

Yes it is Ask Us re a purchase - a fun thread.

But I would not have thought it was lets judge a person for what they may or may not purchase.  I prefer the yuk not my style as we all have different tastes but I think we should keep the judgements such as being a try hard alongside a certain purchase as such.

That's all.  Maybe this may seem a tad sensitive but I am the type to say what I think and then move on.

Now for my next question on what to bid or buy online......I am going searching now, mamma needs some new shoes.

I love black for in the evening....and this came up when I was doing a search for turtles

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=134608331

I don't need an opinion on whether you like it or not...It's classic and would make my blonde highlights look gorgemous

But what do you think about the sizing? I have asked a q but had no answer

and also the feedback is a bit  eek

Nice top - they always look fab in the winter and more so if you have an amazing necklace.

Ummm his feedback is a tad scary and quite a few mention size issues so I probably would not go ahead with that one.  The RRP is always a bit over-stated as well......no doubt a copy of sorts from what I can gather re his other auctions.

yep, I agree...I don't want a large though...I am a ten, but with boobage so figured 10 -12 if that is true would be perfect.

would i be rude to put a question saying something along the lines of 'i am prepared to buy now and pay immediatly if you can guarantee postage will be within 7 days and sizing is accurate'?

and I could add otherwise I will leave bad feedback?

No harm in asking however not knowing the trader on a personal level means we don't know if they will go yes at your request and then go....got the money and I will make her wait 8 days re her threat of feedback.  A bit left field but some of these traders seem to not care much about feedback and are of course.....insane.

I think sizing will be fine as that kind of fabric will move/adjust for the boobs.  My only concern is when washed will it shrink or become 3 times bigger.  It is a risk you take with most clothes via the net.

as far as the turtleneck is concerned i'd ask for exact measurements of waist and chest etc before buying

i've never heard of that "designer" brand and i agree the feedback is dodgy. most traders are scared to give red faces because you get hassled by the trader and they usually give you a red in retaliation. so when someone has a few and those comments i'd steer clear

esp as it could be a chinese knock off with italian labels and that would make their 10-12 smaller than a kiwi 10-12.

but I was wondering if it was worth the risk for a cheap versatile wear with anything kinda number.
