krisps, do you want to send me and cyl' your size etc via pm

and we can have a nosy through some stuff on tm for you

then we can show you what we are trying to explain.

eg: a long asymmetrical black top over pants would look fantastic if you are short waisted. It will drawn the eye down and slim you.

Avoid horizontal stripes like the plague...they are the opposite and will draw the eye across and make anyone look wider.

Copied from other thread.

I always feel layers look good ..... plus feel so floaty and hide any wobble bits.  The most simple outfit that looks amazing teamed up with a fab duster type sheer jacket in a nice bright colour or even a bling type fabric can look stunning.  Say a longish black skirt and top, very simple and can be worn again and again so no wasted money by having an outfit you can only wear to weddings sitting around.

Then find an overtype flowing duster jacket in a very sheer but popping colour.  This way pick you most favourite colour and one that looks fab on you, and you instantly turn a black outfit into something else plus in this weather you will not be too hot.

Just a couple of examples for the sheet part.....but not quite the idea but enought to get you there....

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Clothing/Womenswear/Tops-shirts/Size-16/photos/a-136431615/p-51449862.htm  I like the odd flower bit on here.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Clothing/Womenswear/Tops-shirts/Size-22-over/photos/a-136682464/p-58301028.htm  Or maybe something like this is more your style.

It is hard to help as people like so many different styles.

But please go to the wedding, no matter what.  You will find something - you will look amazing and you will have the time of your life.

Also, dress it up with fab accessories.

   I agree with bytey

If you want to go black top and black skirt...then a peek of the underneath layer can be any colour or print you like.... will look gorgeous, and break up a black outfit

rueben studdard (sp) from first american idol was a great example.... he was huge, but he wore clothes that were big and didnt make him look as fat as he was..

dont buy silk or light fabric shirts/dresses...a thick fabric one with darkish colours will hide and rolls of fat....

id go with the second choice there...the first one is a tight fitting top around the stomach, not goody goody

no - they hide everything except your ass!

I know this chick who has an amazing figure - and i saw her in one and her ass looked f**kin gimungous - which its not!

like i said unless you are tiny they make ya ass huge...they do hide the other rolls though.

I personally prefer semi fitted stuff on bigger people.nothing tight but nothing too loose either.

Tight can make all the bits show, and too loose can make them look far larger.

It has to drape nicely.

yep agree. the best accessory is a smile

also wear a colour that suits your skin tones. black doesn't suit everyone and to be honest i hate the fat people must wear black school of thought. it's like a uniform. fat chicks wear black baggy clothes and they all look the same.

if you're confident and smiling it will go a long way

how big is your budget? my girlfriend has the most gorgeous coat from the carpenter's daughter that she wears over jeans and dresses and it looks fab.

sounds like you're in good stead if you have good legs. that means you could wear a skirt just on the knee or bootleg pants with a longer top to skim the tummy or an empire line is great for hiding a tummy
