Title: Any tips for what I am about to attempt?
Post by: cylllyyy cylindra on Sat 29 January, 2011 - 05:32 pm
I have two sets of french doors that need to be repainted.  I don't think it was done properly by the last owners so I want to really strip them back, seal them and paint again.

Any tips here - stripping......sealing.....I am ok with painting.  Umm they are exterior doors as well.

careful use of a heat gun to strip the old stuff off, sand and apply undercoat sealer , then a top coat or maybe two

The Mr is not handy around the house.  He is good at putting out the rubbish and cooking eggs.

Thanks JJ - a friend has one of those so I might have to borrow it.
