I've seen alot of psychological abuse of children in my work it is frustrating that it is so insidious and flying under the radar and barely recognised as abuse, it's also quite hard to pinpoint, can take on different forms, and like bullying, there doesn't have to be anything physical going old could be the lack of it that is the actual abuse so a lack of particular actions on the adults behalf, which might exclude, embarrass, humiliate, undermind, pressure, etc...

Hmmm...good start I think because verbal abuse is an indication of other abuses. And yeah all parents fly off the handle at times, you'd be looking at systematic ongoing action or non action which causes the child harm.

Had a bit of that in my family, the Maori side too, when you're at parks it's always the brown parents calling their kids useless little :c**t: s as well.

Always found the abusive stuff worse than the slap on the arse, but preferred it over the jug cord  :p
