Hard to think that we've been around trees for so long yet only in the year 2014 AD that a 13 year old kid recognises a pattern in the way branches grow

Pffft

The pattern has always been there and seen all the time.
Of course trees place their branches and leaves for max light energy.

And again pffft to that about solar panels, anyone also knows to have a panel follow the sun like a sunflower will collect more energy also. It's a whole lot easier to keep something in place when it's seriously fixed to what ever, when it comes to storms etc. leaves often get shredded, branches too

Hey self renew at no  money cost, unlike solar panels for humans.

Still as a parent I'd be proud of my kid too for thinking all that out.

no somebody should have experimented with arranging panels like branches. I don't think this will revolutionise
the solar panel industry
