You have plenty of time, I have a wedding to attend in November.

I will need a dress, a pair of shoes to match and if its still a bit chilly a jacket to go with it - or something.

The outfit neds to e pretty enough for a wedding but still look ok when I go down the pub and get trashed afterwards.

I dont like those floaty chiffon numbers - blerk.

I do like old style dresses (like those old 1950's house wife ones  ) - with the fitted bodice and full skirt.

Budget - maybe $500 for the lot give or take a bit depending on the outfit.

I would do it myself but everything I have shown mr bytey he says you cant wear to a wedding, so thought you guys might like the task!  Ideas would be good for now of the kind of attire needed - but nearer the time it will be full on "buying" something.

Ta.

Nah - I wear tops and skirts to work sometimes......one of my friends forced me to start wearing skirts a few years ago so I can do skirts now.
'sides my sister is a bit "posher" than I am and she told me I gotta wear a dress and far be it from me to help add to any "bridezilla" moments.

I wear skirts to work, only cause I'm too fat for my trousers

Any colour preference?

Not black - its a wedding not a funeral, an obviously not white.

Other than that im pretty open to suggestion. Im kinda hoping peeps will post some pics and I can be lke "yea thats nice" or "wtf is that"...and then peps will be able to tell what I will or will not wear.

Basically - I wanna look "pretty" but not too f**kin "prettified" if you get what I mean.

I like that!! Thats the kinda style I like - not sure if its wedding style though.

And thats not my size!

anyway size is not a major issue - one of my sister is doing a fashion course and is right into making clothes so she could adjust stuff if necessary!

she made the dress for my mums weding and while the dres was great - it wasnt quite what i was after...i had wanted a full skirt and it ended up being kinda tight all the way doen and showed off every f**kin bulge!

So id rather buy something this time - besides with studying and working and no doubt making her own dress for the wedding she probably will not have miuch time....i kno shes takng extra papers this year

I think it is. Its not so outrageous that you'll show the bride up    Just a tiny bit different, and with the right accessories would look awesome

And its cheap so if you decided agaisnt it, it wouldn't matter

I dont got fat ribs - I got a fat ass and back flab.

I been riding my bike though

I've got fat other places too, but fat ribs look horrible when you have tight jeans on

Me and CM have been trying to walk/run every night.

Anyhoo, back to the dreses, I like these:

f**kin easy....

I naturally have a very small build so in reality if I was in peak condition I should probably only be a size 8....

However, I am happy to lose say 6 kilos and then I will be how i like me - still a ten but no flabby bits.

hence the bike riding.

um like round the block  eek

I used to bike pretty far when i was young but have just started again. My plan is to start small. If I bike too far i will put myself off so im hoping to bike round the block for a week or so, then do it twice, then up it a bit until im doing the long bikerides.

I am not gonna do stupidly long like 20k's though. I just wanna lose a bit of weight i dont wanna enter the f**kin olympics

Brought to you by dab  Yeah I started by biking home from work. Then once round the block, then just added as I got fitter. I like it. Mind you, I used to be biking after a night shift, so at 5am the roads were empty and quiet and it was nice (and noone to laugh at me    )

We walk round the block most nights and trying to do run one power pole, walk one etc    We look hilarious too, cause Ronan is trying to race and us fatties can't keep up
