hey i did a bit of lookying around with regard to the bsod i was getting and the error message is pointing to either my memory or a driver, is there anyway for me to check these or find out which driver is causing the problem or should i stop being joewannafixit and take it back to the shop?

If it's under warranty, take it back, although it may take a while, or some smartass will decide there's nothing wrong with it and send it back worse

You can check by going through the control panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager, there will be an exclamation mark by any hardware with bad drivers - that's in XP anyway, I don't have a computer with Vista to look

awsum thanks mate ill give that a go
is there anyway i can check integrity of memory?
