It is older than the hills and I was holding it togther with baling twine as it is





need new handles   

but bugger it, it is great for plowing through those weeds. loosening the soil and I was only half way

has different attachments too - can plow a row for planting your spuds etc too

and no doubt it should belong in a museum (along with quite a bit of other stuff around here)   trouble is I USE it   

adding to my list of jobs to do is to find someone to make new handles for me - or I'll have to make new ones myself  (been meaning to... just wasn't high enough on my list of prioities.


meanwhile the chook pen is cleaned out... love tractors. 

But needs a new fence now  eek

ooh low down on the handle, snapped it.  (on its left) It's just sitting in place.

Not going to attempt another patch job.

Been needing new handles for a long time anyway - cant use it without gloves on or I'll rip the skin off my hands.

   yeah - its a bugger when they break while beating the hubby and  kids with them! They just don't make things to last nowadays do they??

Good as new now (not a hard wood though)



sanded and oiled its new handles today ( been using it for ages all rough, not good on my soft lady like hands that  eek   )

smoooooth as now

you should try 'manual', out in the sunshine, working the earth; its good for the soul. (and the waist line).  One puts ones weight behind it.

And if you have finely tilled soil (like I do, when are you visiting? you can give it a go) then there is no effort to it at all.
