  I started a new garden today. (actually, am I mad??  eek )

I have an annoying area with a low concrete wall set against a wee slope and the lawnmower can never get the grass down at the edges, so I thought today just create a garden and make a new, lawnmower-friendly edge. the soil is even nice and soft after all this rain

 

I think I'll put mostly low-growing flowering plants in, but its been so long since I've had a real garden I can't think beyond pansies  eek

Don't forget petunias

They are always great value for money (as long as the snails dont get them as babies because snails LOVE them too) - they spread into a fairly big plant, flower ALL summer and if you cut them back will possibly survive winter for another go the next year.

oooh no hang, remembering where you live      well anyway they will last all summer.

I am pleased that the soil I've exposed is actually drying and not staying gluggy so there's hope for a decent garden

soo cited I finished digging and got some plants last night, and pilfered some from what I already had, and now have a normal-looking garden  yeahhhhhhhhhhhhh
